The Interface - Annual cranial teachers' study group uniting European & American colleagues in the Way of Osteopathy.

The information gathered by our experimentation and research makes our actions (or non-actions) more effective. Our knowledge of self, consciousness, and therapeutic relation with others will grow thanks to breathing, visualization and touch.  With the help of anatomy, embryology, physiology, systemic analysis and more, we will find our perceptions amplified in a global approach to the person with respect to herself, her inner physician and the universe.  The body-fulcrum becomes a neutral point, similar to an hourglass neck, which marks the starting point of true treatment.  This state permits the blossoming of harmony between internal and external conditions by the grace and potency within the Still Point.

We do not seek out the Still Point, but rather, it let's us find it.  We have experimented with deconstructing certain dogmatic treatment approaches during prior years' events.  We have shared some alternative Interfaces: harmonic resonance to unite a patient's divided fields, integrating the diaphragm to facilitate presence, off-body treatments using stillness, working without concentration, radiating non-personal love from the heart, and more...

Our subjects remain:  The Interface; perception and knowing, Still Point, presence, evolution/dissolution of ego in treatment, "There is but one cosmic substance" -- Walter Russell.

To continue our explorations from Breitenbush (USA), Berder Island (France) and Formentera Isle (Spain) and Myvatn (Iceland) these last several years, we will travel further along the way of health.  Each of us arriving to open our perceptions, broaden our research and delight in experimentation, we will deepen our relationship to the osteopathy of Presence.

This will not be a course with a teacher, but each one of us will contribute our own personal share to the event.  Your contribution can be in the form which you choose, such as an osteopathic presentation, presence development practices, etc.  The goal is to advance together in our understanding of the Way of Osteopathy thanks to the participation of each person.

The mornings will begin with an optional qigong class with Todd.  We will have presentations after breakfast, and treatment exchanges in the afternoons.   Once we receive confirmation of attendance from you, we can develop the syllabus more specifically.

We have been meeting annualy since 2005. One year the event takes place in America and the next, it occurs in Europe. If you are teaching in the biodynamic cranial field and would like to attend, please contact Todd.

Update for 2012
2012 brings some changes to our annual event which we are very excited about.  Most importantly, we want to build upon the nourishing way we worked together last year.  As a result, we intend to make the event more casual.  We want to move away from the more formal presentation aspects.  This means fewer power-point presentations, and less lecture time.  We want to continue cultivating personal sharing as it leads us to a deeper connection with the Way of Osteopathy.

We are particularly interested in helping everyone share something.  Whether it's a guided discussion, a presence-developing exercise, art-based activities to cultivate cranial skills, osteopathic & biodynamic techniques, etc., we want everyone to share something that they know from personal experience.

The other change is that we must use a refined process for inviting people to the event.  Since forming in 2005, many people have attended and each year we have only a limited number of spaces at the retreat location.  To be transparent, here is our invitation order:
1) Participants from last year invited first.
2) Participants who've attended the most # of years.
3) Those recommended to the group by a regularly attending participant.
